Does anyone have a good way of managing accounts based on their credit limit vs. the amount outstanding? I would like to be able to block orders if the customer has too much open invoices.
So not based on the key account icons but on the actual open invoices.January 12, 2018 at 1:22 pm #81Good Point Luk!
Just as the Recupel & Bebat issue from another post, I see this framing in a more developed CRM – Sales track.
Great topic! Anyone creative enough to have build a solution in Autotask PSA already?January 15, 2018 at 8:33 am #97Hi Luk,
Thank you for your inquiry on this newly formed forum!
With certain accounting integrations, you can let your accounting software feed data back into Autotask giving the client’s invoices a paid/unpaid status.
While there’s currently not a way to actually ‘block’ orders from a client, you can make use of the Account Alerts: this is a big yellow bar that appears in the top of the account and it’s tickets, containing information you can fill out yourself.
In practice this means you could fill out an alert stating something like ‘do not support, client has outstanding invoices’, which will be visible upon opening the account and/or raising tickets against it.Hope this helps.

Yes I know about the alerts, but that is not what I am looking for. I am looking for a way to say, even before the first order, that a customer is allowed a certain amount of credit. If he exceeds that credit limit due to open orders or time entries that there would be alerts and new opportunities or tickets would be blocked/handled with extra care.
To me this seems to be easily possible as both numbers are available in the system and would just require a new field like ‘credit limit’ for an account.
January 16, 2018 at 12:13 pm #111Hi Luk,
Thanks for elaborating.
I’ll relay the message to our Product Management for you.
In the meantime, I would also encourage you to perhaps post it as a feature request in the official Autotask-forums.
If it gets a lot of votes, it can only help getting it on the roadmap sooner!
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you require more information.
Kind regards,

I’m sure other Autotask users feel the same need for this feature, altough many more aspects are related to this. I invite a volunteer to widen this topic…
I invite everyone the ‘express their opinion’ and/or confirm this funtionality.
